Outreach & Community Support

Parish Nurse Nancy Turchi holds office hours Tuesdays from 1 PM to 5 PM each week at St. Mary Star of the Sea.  She can be reached at 218-722-3078 ext. 13.

The Helping Hands fund strives to answer the call of Jesus Christ to assist those in need, especially the poor, the vulnerable, and the unborn.  This is done by supporting local outreach organizations as well as individuals in need. 

Donations the the Helping Hands Fund can be made by visiting our online giving page, by utilizing the giving envelopes included in your monthly packet, or by noting Helping Hands Fund in the memo field or on the envelope of any donations dropped off in the weekend collection basket. 

When a loved one dies and the family makes funeral arrangements, they are invited to have a luncheon or reception at the Cathedral. This time for fellowship is an important part of the grieving process. Funeral luncheon volunteers help serve the luncheon allowing the family to share a meal while visiting with guests and rembering their loved one.  If you would like to be added to the funeral luncheon list, please contact the parish office.
