Baptism of Infants & Children

The sacrament of Baptism is typically administered after the 10:30 Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady or the 9:15 Sunday Mass at St. Mary Star of the Sea. If this is your first or second child you are having baptized in the Catholic church, parents must attend baptismal preparation before their child is baptized. Classes are offered the third Saturday of each month at the Cathedral.  Call the Parish Office to make arrangements.

Baptism of Adults:

Adults who have not been baptized and who wish to enter the Catholic Church should call the office to speak with a priest.

Baptismal Certificate:

If you were baptized at the Cathedral of Our Lady and would like  to request a copy of your baptism certificate, please email your request to [email protected] or call 218-728-3646.  

If you were baptized at St. Mary Star of the Sea and would like  to request a copy of your baptism certificate, please email your request to [email protected] or call 218-722-3078.
